It may be tough for prospective attorneys or lawyers trying to navigate which career path they should aim towards with a law degree. For every situation, there is always a lawyer needed and it is important to know where each law student lands.

There are many different types of lawyers and it may be difficult to choose which best fits each student. Here are some lawyers meant for each situation:

Human Rights Lawyer: These lawyers specialize in cases that deal with human’s rights or civil rights. They represent clients who have had their rights violated by any organization or employer.

Criminal Prosecutor or Defense Attorney: The criminal cases handled by defense or prosecutor lawyers are very stressful and have a lot on the line. This career determines the future of criminals and every case has high stakes.

Data Security and Privacy Lawyer: Because of the consistent threat of hacking, it makes it very difficult to keep private files confidential. These lawyers are well educated on protecting people from having their personal information or data exposed without any consent.

Family Lawyer or Divorce Attorney: This type of lawyer represents clients who have major problems with romantic partners, children, or family members. They also specialize in navigating clients through divorces and child custody.

Banking and Finance Lawyer: These are lawyers who specialize in banking and finance that regulate the consumer protection rules. These lawyers also enforce other laws that banks must follow or can provide legal advice to banks themselves.
